Grab a Cup of Joe at Billy Goat Coffee and Cafe
billy goat coffee and cafe, business, coffee, food, restaurant,
When coffee is just what the doctor ordered‚ stop by Billy Goat Coffee and Café and grab a cup of joe. And while you’re there‚ snag a pastry and maybe catch some live music.
Billy Goat opened in December 2006‚ and it has been so well received that a Seattle transplant even gave it a stamp of approval‚ says Judy Fanslau‚ who opened the coffee shop along with husband‚ Gunnar.
“We were having a ‘friends and family night’ just before we opened‚ and a gentleman came in and we went ahead and served him‚” Fanslau says. “He told us he’d just been transferred here‚ and when he told us he was from Seattle‚ we said we wanted his honest opinion. He told us we had a good cup of coffee‚ and he was our very first customer when we opened. He is still here every morning during the week if he’s in town.”
Billy Goat is located in the Providence MarketPlace shopping center‚ and it offers pastries‚ a light lunch menu and desserts in addition to coffee. There’s free WiFi to be had‚ as well as live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.
“We don’t try to compete with the restaurants‚” Fanslau says. “We want people to go somewhere to eat‚ and then have their coffee and dessert with us!”
